Specifically, this course explores how emerging technologies change the landscape of geopolitics and a nation’s global position. Some of the topics this course delves into include: artificial intelligence, quantum, biotech, and cyber as some of the dominant technologies and capabilities driving this shift; semiconductor chips, data centers, and the economic statecraft employed in their pursuit; and the role of critical minerals, energy, and other natural resources in geopolitical competition. Through these topics, this course will provide students with a framework for understanding some of the biggest debates and events at the intersection of technology, business, and geopolitics.
