Rena Dascal is Harris’s Associate Dean for Advancement. In this role, she oversees a variety of programs and strategies designed to maximize philanthropic support for the school and to increase engagement with our worldwide community of alumni and friends.
Rena graduated from Concordia University with a BA in sociology and has a master’s degree in social work from Yeshiva University.
Maggie Elmarakby serves as the Director of Alumni Relations at the Harris School of Public Policy. In this role, she leads the team’s efforts for alumni engagement, including management of worldwide alumni events and volunteer opportunities.
Maggie holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Northwestern University and an MA in Public Policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago.
Max Ramstad serves as the Director of Development at the Harris School of Public Policy. In this role, he oversees the school’s leadership annual giving, stewardship, and reunion volunteer programs; he also supports strategic planning and execution of priority development initiatives.
Prior to joining the University of Chicago, Max led the University of Oxford’s major gift fundraising efforts in the US for its science divisions. He brings significant experience in fundraising strategy within global and complex philanthropic and higher education organizations.
Max holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University.
Renae serves as the Associate Director of Communications, Annual Giving & Stewardship at Harris. In this role, she helps advance the mission of the Harris School by overseeing the communication strategy for annual giving, stewardship, and donor recognition activities for the Development office.
Renae holds a B.A. in communications from Moody Bible Institute.
Holden Sill is excited to join Harris as the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving. In this role, he will focus on qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding Harris alumni. Holden brings experience from his previous position as a Development Associate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was instrumental in supporting major gift officers and advancing principal gift strategies. Prior to Booth, he led successful fundraising initiatives at The Resurrection Project and revitalized donor management processes at LSA Family Health Services.
Holden holds a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from Winona State University. He resides in Chicago with his girlfriend and their dog, Bodega.
Eden Mayle is the Associate Director of Development at the Harris School of Public Policy, where she builds strong relationships with alumni and donors to advance the school's mission through leadership annual giving. With nearly seven years of experience leading advocacy and fundraising efforts, Eden specializes in mobilizing communities and driving measurable results.
She previously served as Organizing Director for Canvassing Connectors in Pennsylvania, recruiting 150+ new volunteers and launching communications programs to boost fundraising. Before that, she managed deep-canvassing programs at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, engaging thousands of voters and developing volunteer leaders. Eden holds a B.S. in Communications from Cornell University and recently moved to Chicago to be closer to family.
Abby most recently served as the Lead and Major Giving Specialist for Lions Clubs International Foundation. She was previously the Manager of Leadership Annual Giving and Engagement at Shedd Aquarium, and prior to that, served as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving at the University of Chicago Law School. Abby received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin and Master of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University.
Abby is excited to be back at the University of Chicago and to get to know the team, students, and alumni at Harris. Abby is also looking forward to traveling more in this role, having lived abroad for two years in her twenties. Abby is from St. Louis, and enjoys exploring her neighborhood of Roscoe Village with her recently adopted dog, Olive.
Emily Magill serves as the Associate Director of Events and Engagement. In her role, she will support Harris Reunion Weekend as well as other events to promote lifelong learning for the alumni community.
Prior to this role, Emily spent three years working for The Pearson Institute at the Harris School, most recently as the Assistant Director of Operations. Emily also spent three years working with children and families at the Columbus Metropolitan Library as an Information Services Specialist. Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in history and international studies from The Ohio State University and her master's degree in public administration from The University of Pittsburgh.
Iris Woosley is Harris Advancement's Development Associate. Their role is to support the Alumni Relations and Development teams in every capacity, including project and data management, communications support, and event operations support. They apply their unique combination of finance and nonprofit management experience to suit the diverse needs of Harris stakeholders.
Iris holds a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory. They live in Buena Park with their roommates and cat, Jóga.
