May 06, 2021 If you are an admitted student, you may still have a few questions about financial aid and student loans. Please see below for information that you may find helpful as you are finalizing your financial plans: US students can still complete the FAFSA if they have not already. Be sure to include school code 001774 on your 2021-22 FAFSA. Students can expect to receive their financial aid packages from UChicago Grad Financial Aid beginning mid-May. You can read more about the type of funding available on the UChicago Grad Website. This page also includes a webinar, “Understanding Graduate Financial Aid.” The process for taking out graduate loans differs from the process of taking out undergraduate loans. You can read more about graduate loans on the UChicago Grad website. Information on the cost of attendance can be found on the UChicago Office of the University Bursar’s website. Please note, students enrolled in the full-time degree programs largely take three courses per quarter, three quarters per academic year. If you were awarded a scholarship, you should be able to view the details on your my.uchicago.edu account. Please note that the aid year to view is 2021. You can find detailed information for students in the Graduate Financial Aid Handbook. Many common questions about financial aid are answered in this Financial Aid Webinar recording. If you have questions about your scholarship, please contact harrisadmissions@uchicago.edu. If you have questions about your FAFSA or loans, please email gradfinaid@uchicago.edu.
