Course # 36150 Section Number 1 Day(s) M Time(s) 4:30pm-7:20pm Term Spring 2024 Specialization Energy & Environmental Policy Finance & Policy Syllabus Syllabus 3/11/24 This course provides the principles and techniques that underpin various models of ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) investing and impact investing from the investor perspective. Students will come away from the course with a broad understanding of strategies to generate positive, measurable social or environmental impact alongside a financial return. In addition to discussing these theories and strategies, the lectures will address the rapidly changing role of the corporation and recent shifts in the US and international regulatory environment. Furthermore, there will be discussion on the increasingly influential role non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play in the industry on a variety of issues ranging from climate change to human rights.
