This year, the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy is working to break down barriers  for our prospective students. That's why we've waived our application fee for master's degree applicants.*

In addition, based on your professional experience level, military service, or documented coursework, you may also be able to waive the GRE test requirement. Read more about our GRE waiver here.

We also know choosing which program is the best fit can be a challenge. We've recently launched our new high-level overview page of our degree programs, and our blog on finding the program that is the right fit for you is also a useful resource.

Start your application today to join the next generation of changemakers. If you apply by our December 6 deadline, you will receive your decision with ample time to attend Admitted Student Day and participate in our scholarship reconsideration process in March, where the scholarship committee can potentially increase your scholarship offering.

Email us at harrisadmissions@uchicago.edu with any questions you may have or join our virtual information session November 15 at 8 a.m. Central Standard Time to learn more.

Please note, while a fee is still required for PhD applicants, fee waivers are available. In order to have your application fee waived you must start an application and complete the Fee Waiver Request Form. If approved, you will be notified directly.
