You’ve submitted your application!  You’ve taken the next step in your academic and career journey, and you’re ahead of the curve by submitting early. Reading and learning more about you is one of our favorite parts of the application process.

After you submitted your application you probably took a deep breath—or maybe let out a breath you’d been holding in—and you may think all there is left to do is wait for decisions to be released. But wait! There are a few things we think you should consider between now and decision release:

  • Visit our campus with its iconic gothic architecture, and its many coffee shops, bookstores, and libraries, as well of the state-of-the-art, sustainably designed Keller Center—home to the Harris School of Public Policy.
  • Apply to prepare for your graduate studies with a Harris Credential Program—a part-time, virtual program you can take before you begin your graduate coursework. It is an opportunity to strengthen your academic readiness and begin building your UChicago networks!
  • Get to know our student community—check out our website for new student profiles each week. (Spoiler alert: Harris students are pretty amazing).
  • Follow a university podcast:
    • Harris Podcasts: Hear from Harris students, faculty, and guests on key policy topics in Not Another Politics Podcast, The Inequality Podcast, The Public Money Pod, Battle of the Branches, UC3P, Shocked, and more.
    • The Pie: Join the Becker Friedman Institute (BFI) for an extra slice of The Pie, our expanded podcast series drawn from presentations and conversations with UChicago scholars on cutting-edge research and key events of the day.
    • UChicago Big Brains: Stories from the people behind the pioneering research and pivotal breakthroughs at the University of Chicago.
  • Read the latest news at Harris and UChicago.
