November 20, 2020 Harris Admissions Now that we’ve sent messages, made calls, and released decisions, we want to share a message to show how impressed we were with our applications from Early Action. We received more applications than anticipated, and we were pleased to see such diverse backgrounds and interests among our incoming class. We reached out to some of our staff readers anonymously and asked them to share what impressed them about this group of applicants: "I was struck by how many people wrote about how they and their families have been impacted by COVID and how they want to pursue a degree in public policy to address the challenges and inequities the pandemic amplified." "I was impressed by the variety of thoughtful essays we received in our optional essay questions. Students reflected deeply on the answers they shared, and were often quite detailed in their responses." "In the face of incredible economic and health challenges, our applicants truly showed up for their communities and demonstrated how their work focused on improving the lives of others and fueled their passion for policy." Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do in your communities around the world, and we are honored that you applied to Harris. We look forward to working with you. Sincerely, Your Harris Admissions Team OlderHomeNewer Upcoming Events More events Data and Policy Summer Scholars Program (DPSS): Deep-Dive Conversation with Jose Macias and Alexandra Sobczynski Mon., May 06, 2024 | 7:30 PM International Policy Action Lab Mini Class with Austin Wright Tue., May 07, 2024 | 6:00 AM Driving Policy Innovation in the Social Sector in India: Lunch Conversation with Luis Miranda Tue., May 07, 2024 | 12:30 PM Harris School of Public Policy (The Keller Center), Room 2112 1307 E 60th St Chicago, IL 60637 United States
