Chicago has a rich history rooted in art, music, and culture. Each of its 77 neighborhoods embodies a different part of that history, and you get to choose which you’re a part of! To help you navigate that decision, we’ve compiled a list of what you should to know about the neighborhoods Harris students commonly call home. Check back on our blog weekly for different neighborhood installments. This week, we are profiling our backyard neighborhood of Woodlawn.

Directly south of Hyde Park, and in the Keller Center's backyard, is the diverse and rapidly growing Woodlawn neighborhood. Woodlawn was voted neighborhood of the year in 2016 due to its rapid expansion, well-organized leadership, and the development catalyst of the upcoming Obama Presidential Center.
