Harris recently released its fourth annual Career Outcomes Report, containing employment data for the class of 2019.  

Katherine Baicker, Dean and the Emmett Dedmon Professor at Harris said, “I consistently hear from employer partners that Harris graduates bring a skill set and commitment to social impact that sets them apart as their organizations grapple with the crucial policy challenges facing communities and the world.”

Of the 325 students seeking employment:  

  • 96% received job offers
  • 94% accepted offers  
  • 90% accepted offers within three months

  • 97% of students seeking summer employment internships (often in fields relating to data science, education, public management, and urban housing)  
  • 94% of the internships were paid
  • One-third of paid internships were funded through the generous support of Harris alumni

Evening Master’s Program  

For the first time, the Career Outcomes Report shows data from graduates of the Evening Master’s Program, Harris’ part-time program that launched in January of 2018 and graduated its first classes in 2019. Of the 85 students who reported outcomes: 

  • 55% of students seeking a career change moved to a different organization by graduation 
  • 95% of those who switched roles in their current organization received a promotion
