A Conversation with Arne Duncan

Join Harris Public Policy for a fireside chat with with Senior Distinguished Fellow and Former U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, LAB'82. The conversation will examine Duncan's career and experience so far, his time in the Obama administration, his take on what's next for education policy, as well as what's ahead for him professionally, including his new endeavor with Chicago CRED, an affiliate program with Emerson Collective.

The Census Bureau and the State of Data in Governance

Dr. Ron Jarmin, acting Director of the U.S. Census Bureau, will give a talk on the current state of data and statistics in the federal government. Dr. Jarmin will speak to the significant challenges facing the Census Bureau and the changing landscape of the federal government’s collection of information necessary for effective policy-making.
