Course # 34600 Certificate Program Policy Analysis International Policy Data Analytics Energy & Environmental Policy The goal of this course is to introduce students to program evaluation and provide an overview of current issues and methods in impact evaluation. We will focus on estimating the causal impacts of programs and policy using social experiments, panel data methods, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity designs, and matching techniques. We will discuss applications and examples from the fields of education, demography, health, crime, job training, and others. Prerequisites: PPHA 31001 or PPHA 31002 and PPHA 31101 or PPHA 31102 or equivalent statistics coursework. Notes Prerequisites: PPHA 31001 and PPHA 31101 or equivalent coursework in statistics.
