This class builds on some of the concepts learned in Adv Micro I to study at a deeper level a variety of topics relevant to students of public policy. The class will build foundations for understanding risk, uncertainty, and market failures in the provision of public goods, externalities, and due to information asymmetries. Throughout the course, examples of how policy makers grapple with the theoretical issues will be discussed. Must be a Harris masters student to enroll. No exceptions for non-Harris students, even by consent. Notes Harris students can self-select into Advanced Microeconomics during preregistration/registration.
