Dana Bozeman

Associate Dean, Student Engagement & Belonging

Dana Bozeman serves as the Associate Dean of Student Engagement & Belonging as well as the Diversity Officer for the Harris School. In her role, she leads the Student Engagement and Belonging team, supports the Harris community with diversity related topics and training, advises students personally and professionally, and represents Harris on various campus committees. 

Dana has worked to support students, staff, and faculty in higher education for almost 20 years. She is dedicated to equity, diverse perspectives and creating an environment of belonging in the student experience.

Senior Associate Director, Student Engagement & Belonging

Rich (all pronouns welcome) serves as the Senior Associate Director of the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging. Rich and the SEB team advocate to enhance the overall student experience at Harris. This includes mindful support of co-curricular programs, advisement of Harris Student Organizations, fostering international intercultural community building, and collaborative leadership of the Chicago Policy, Perspective, and Principles (CP3) Program.

Rich’s team also supports individual, peer, and group advocacy and advisement for all students, staff, and faculty. SEB’s is committed to ensuring the Harris learning community remains committed to diversity, equality, equity, fairness, and inclusivity.

Nikki Horn, PhD

Associate Director, Student Engagement & Belonging

Nikki (she/her/hers) focuses on fostering a vibrant co-curricular student experience at Harris. She assists students in achieving their professional goals by connecting them with resources through our Professional Development Fund, Harris Mentor Program, student organizations, and nonprofit partners.

Through civic engagement and professional development, Nikki helps students translate classroom experiences to policy praxis.

Aremu Mbande

Associate Director, Student Engagement & Belonging

Aremu (he/him/his) serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Student Engagement & Belonging. In this role, he advises an array of Harris student organizations, spearheads cultural events and programs, and collaborates with units across the college and university to promote a climate of diversity and inclusion for Harris students.

As a member of Student Engagement & Belonging, Aremu works alongside a dynamic team dedicated to supporting HSO programming, advancing a culture of professionalism and leadership, and fostering community, connection, and belonging among Harris’ diverse student body. Before working at Harris, Aremu served as both an instructor and administrator at predominantly Black and Hispanic serving institutions.

Katie Silasiri

Assistant Director, Student Engagement & Belonging

Katie serves as an Assistant Director in the Office of Student Engagement and Belonging. Through their role as an Advisor to Harris Student Organizations, Katie is passionate about advocating for students, fostering community and relationship building, and empowering students to step into their leadership potential while at Harris.

Through her role in SEB and her position on the Dean’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board, Katie works directly with stakeholders across the Harris community to address and contribute to Harris’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Katie believes that with engagement comes connection, and with connection comes a greater understanding of oneself and the world around them.
