Students officially declare a major through the student portal (my.uchicago.edu), but you should meet with your College adviser as part of the process.
When to Declare Your Major
Students may declare a major starting in their second year. Unless otherwise specified by the department, the deadline for declaring a major is Spring Quarter of a student's third year.
