Professor William Howell Discusses Moderate Republicans in the Trump Era

Harris Public Policy Professor William Howell was featured by The Associate Press, discussing moderate Republicans' criticism of the tone and procedure of the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

"I think we can think about Representative Kinzinger [(R), IL] as an example of a handful—and it's really just a handful—of moderate Republicans who are trying to find a little bit of distance from this President, but they have to do so really carefully," said Howell. "They're under intense pressure by the Party and by the President to toe the line."
