Assistant Professor Ingvil Gaarder Discusses Internet Access and Workplace Productivity

Research by Harris Public Policy Assistant Professor Ingvil Gaarder was featured in The Economist as a key basis for new work on workplace productivity.

"That study found that the internet made it easier for them to do 'non-routine abstract tasks' such as problem-solving, while allowing the company to automate routine tasks and replace unskilled workers," the columnist wrote, connecting the work to new research on the effects of internet access in the workplace.
