Brazil's Moment: Political Voices from a New Generation

In the past few years, Brazil has seen a president impeached, a former president indicted, and a current president facing allegations, all on charges of corruption. Meanwhile, the infamous Car Wash investigation continues to unearth a global web of corruption tracing back to the country's state-owned oil company. Rather than becoming disillusioned, a new generation is challenging traditions in Brazilian politics.
 
Please join Olivia Carneiro, first-year Pearson Fellow and Harris MPP student, in welcoming the cofounders of the new political movement Acredito, a progressive coalition aiming to tackle corruption and build a new generation of leaders for a more inclusive country. 

Acredito cofounders Tábata Amaral de Pontes and Bruno Santos will be joined by Mauricio Moura, AM'03, President and CEO of Ideia Big Data, a political analysis firm whose recent Brazilian political values survey will inform this discussion of Brazil's changing political landscape.
