Overview

CAPP Camp is  a series of workshops which are intended to help incoming MSCAPP students prepare for their computer science courses. These workshops are also designed to give students a head start on proper machine setup and configuration, program installation, and getting connected to the UChicago IT infrastructure.


Scheduling and Registration

CAPP Camp registration will open in late June. It will be held in person on weekdays starting August 21st.  Students will have the option to register for either the AM or PM sessions listed below in addition to choosing to register for  a full day Linear Algebra workshop.

AM Sessions

  • Monday, August 21st,  10:00 – 11:30am
  • Tuesday, August 22nd, 10:00 – 11:30am
  • Thursday, August 24th, 10:00 – 11:30am
  • Friday, August 25th, 10:00 – 11:30am

PM Sessions

  • Monday, August 21, 1:30-3:00pm
  • Tuesday, August 22, 1:30-3:00pm 
  • Thursday, August 24, 1:30-3:00pm
  • Friday, August 25, 1:30-3:00pm

Linear Algebra 

  • Wednesday, August 23, 10:00am-3:00pm

Curriculum

The CAPP Camp curriculum  includes  introductions to Git, SSH, VS, and Linux.  The instructional labs  are listed below.
