Harris highlighted the historical, psychological, and political reasons behind racism in policing and suggests one way to solve would be to hold the “bad apples” in the police force accountable. “The next best first step is addressing and admitting that there is a problem and dealing with the problem,” said Harris. “There needs to be unconscious bias training and more accountability.” Full coverage available at WGN9.
