Philipson recently released an op-ed in Newsweek discussing the effects of socialism on those who live under it – and finds that socialism isn't popular among those who live under socialist governments. "Despite common claims about its popularity from politicians, the media and academia, socialism suffers from a lack of demand for it from the people who have to live under it," Philipson writes.
