Dean Katherine Baicker Discusses Changing the U.S. Health Care System

Harris Public Policy Dean Dean Katherine Baicker was featured in Business Insider and MSNBC, discussing in video interviews how the U.S. health care system must change to meet the demands of a future pandemic.

“Well, first and foremost, it's important for people's individual health outcomes that they have access to health care, and insurance is the main vehicle for making sure that people can take care of their health, but those problems become society's problems when there is a communicable disease involved,” said Baicker on MSNBC Live With Velshi and Ruhle. "So all of the issues that we have with individuals not having access to care they need are amplified when that affects population health."
