Professor William Howell Discusses President Trump and Impeachment

Harris Public Policy Professor William Howell was featured in the media, discussing issues and strategy connected to the current impeachment hearings.

In the Los Angeles Times, writer Sarah D. Wire featured Howell sharing how House Republicans may use their powers to undermine the hearings. 

"This is almost entirely about framing the narrative," Howell said. "Just on procedural grounds they are going to try to delegitimize the impeachment effort."

Peter Grier shared this insight with his readers in The Christian Science Monitor. Andrew M. Harris and Bob Van Voris featured Howell in Bloomberg, showcasing his expertise on the consequences of White House non-compliance on impeachment hearings.

The Mazars court ruling clarifies Congress's ability to obtain the financial records of a sitting president, but "in a strange way it also puts us one step closer to a full-blown constitutional crisis," says Howell.
