From Forbes December 05, 2018 Amir Jina Harris Public Policy Professor Amir JinaHarris Public Policy Professor Amir Jina was featured in Forbes with an Op-Ed that shows that the model of climate change should not be interpreted only through dramatic numbers. Jina writes, "Our research takes a transparent and data-driven approach to measuring climate damages that have dramatic implications for society β how our health, our well-being, our social stability, the food on our tables, and even our jobs, all stand to be affected. However, itβs not an estimate of economy-wide damage. We tally only a subset of consequential impacts β how climate change will impact health, labor and agricultural productivity, energy demand, crime and coastal property. These are important, but we leave out many other effects that could be as dramatically affected or worse, such as ecosystem loss, changes to water availability, wildfires, migration, and many others that the NCA details. A measure of total economy-wide costs would have to include these other categories." Full coverage at Forbes. Upcoming Events More events Get to Know Harris!
