Celebrating 40 Years: Inspectors General Making a Difference Tue., November 13, 2018 | 5:00 PM — 8:00 PM Lecture Hall, Room 142 Harris Public Policy 1155 E. 60th Chicago, IL 60637 United States The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) continues a year-long effort to educate the public about and commemorate the impact of the Inspector General Act of 1978 and the work of federal Inspectors General (IG) in the 40 years since passage of the Act. As part of this effort, the IG community and the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy will host an evening lecture for students, faculty, staff, and members of the IG community. This event will focus on a historical overview of IGs and will highlight recent work in support of effective oversight.
