Professor Peter Ganong Discusses Migration and the Wealth Gap

Harris Public Policy Professor Peter Ganong was recently featured in Curbed, discussing the effects of migration on the wealth gap in the United States throughout the 20th Century.

"Ganong and Shoag discovered that the barriers created by land-use policy created a significant cost for low-income workers," the article read, referring to policies that hinder mgiration. "It made hourly wage inequality 10 percent worse between 1980 and 2010."
