Ivy Ideas Night - William Howell @ PianoForte Studios Mon., December 11, 2017 | 7:00 PM — 10:00 PM PianoForte Studios 1335 S Michigan Ave Chicago, IL 60605 United States Let’s rewrite the Constitution — it’s old anyways. Easy, right? Obviously it isn’t that simple, but if you ask Professor William Howell, maybe that’s not such a bad idea. Join us for an intriguing IVY Ideas Night on The Future of US Democracy to discuss the issues plaguing the United States as we imagine possibilities for a better path forward. As an expert on the the separation-of-powers and American political institutions, especially the presidency, Dr. Howell’s insights are invaluable for anyone hoping to learn more about our government and how to effect change on a wide scale. Throughout the evening, we’ll discuss how a document written in the late 1700s continues to dictate politics in 2017, and question to what extent polarization and hyper-partisanship are really to blame for the problems we as a country face today. Please RSVP. Missed the event?
