Professor Tomas J. Philipson Discusses the Trump Administration's Response to COVID-19

Harris Public Policy Professor Tomas J. Philipson co-authored an op-ed, with Joel M. Zinberg, discussing the Trump administration's response to COVID-19, explaining that the administration was aware of the threat and that the origins of Operation Warp Speed were in place before the pandemic.

"Even though the pandemic came quicker than anyone imagined, the country and the administration were prepared to apply the CEA report’s lessons," Philipson writes. "New vaccines are being developed at previously unimaginable speed."
