As the 2016 school year came to an end, some second-year Harris MPP students weren’t just preparing for finals and graduation. They were also boiling down months of hard fieldwork, getting ready to share findings that could make a tangible difference in criminal justice, health, human services and labor economics.

It was the culmination of the first-ever Harris Policy Labs. Since January, small teams of Harris students have been diving headfirst into real-time policy questions, working with real non-profits or government agencies on projects with real stakes.
