In a Chicago Tribune piece about the misclassification of hundreds of properties in Chicago, Harris Professor Christopher Berry, a scholar of assessment fairness, was cited as an expert source: 

“I can believe this is happening, this seems bad, and nevertheless, I can also have the general view that (the office) is doing a much better job” than it did under [Assessor Joseph] Berrios, Berry said.

Christopher R. Berry is the William J. and Alicia Townsend Friedman Professor at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and the College. He is the academic director of the Center for Municipal Finance. He studies metropolitan governance and the politics of public finance.
