Harris Public Policy Assistant Professor Anthony Fowler was featured in WalletHub discussing the best ways to encourage voter participation for the upcoming election. More than campaigns and minor reforms, Fowler suggests making voting compulsory and imposing fines as the solution. 

“If we were really serious as a country about democracy and ensuring that everyone is represented, we should consider legally requiring people to vote and fining them if they do not,” said Fowler.
