Houston Harper Lecture: How Machine Learning Is Changing the Landscape of Online Security Sun., April 22, 2018 | 2:00 PM — 4:00 PM JW Marriott Houston 5150 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77056 United States Sponsored By: UChicago Alumni Association The emergence of machine learning and neural networks is fundamentally reshaping the online battlefield between malicious parties and security practitioners. As machine learning techniques evolve, so do the tools used by attackers and defenders to impersonate others, track users, and forge content. Ben Zhao will discuss recent research on this topic, examining the possible impacts of machine learning innovations—including so-called supervised learning and deep learning—in the not-too-distant future.
