Create an employer profile on HarrisLink, our online job database. Once you sign up, you will receive an email with your username and password.

Once you have logged in, you can change your password.

  1. Click on ‘Profile’ in the top navigation bar on your homepage

  2. Click on the “Password/Preferences” tab

  3. Change your password

  4. Make sure to save before exiting the page

Gather Background Checks and Education Verification

Employers or prospective employers of a Harris student or graduate (or a third party company contracted with an employer) who you need to verify a student’s dates of attendance, disciplinary record, or other background check information, should take the following steps:

  1. Obtain permission from the student or alum, ideally a signed form.
  2. Reach out to the Harris Dean of Students, Kate Shannon Biddle, at kbiddle@uchicago.edu or at 773-702-4753 to provide proof of students’ permission and a list of the needed information.

We will respond within two business days.
