Antonina Gray

Assistant Director, Stone Center

About

Antonina (Nina) Gray is a public policy professional and research administrator. She joins the Harris School as Assistant Director of the Stone Center for Research on Wealth Inequality and Mobility, where she advances research dissemination through dynamic programming, project management, and strategic communications.

Prior to joining the Stone Center, Nina led initiatives to promote empirical legal analysis at the Coase-Sandor Institute for Law and Economics at the University of Chicago Law School. She oversaw two working paper series on the Social Science Research Network, coordinated operations and events, and supported a team of predoctoral economics researchers. 

Nina began her career as a museum outreach educator in the San Francisco Bay Area before transitioning into higher education administration. At the University of California, Santa Cruz, she led outreach and data collection efforts for the undergraduate peer learning center. Throughout her career, she has partnered with government agencies, nonprofits, universities, and local school districts to design and implement innovative programs. 

Her academic background centers on systems and policy analysis. Nina earned her Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School in 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, with a concentration in American and Comparative Politics. 

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Nina now lives in Chicago with her rescue dog, Juniper. She is an avid reader and passionate gardener.
