We invite mid-career professionals interested in completing graduate school part-time in downtown Chicago to join us in making a measurable impact and bringing evidence-based policymaking to all sectors.

Schedule and timing: two evening classes per week, one Saturday per quarter, with September and March starts
Learning format: tight-knit cohort model of Chicago mid-career peer leaders, led by world-class UChicago faculty
Speed to degree: entire program takes four quarters (15 months) to complete.

Location: Convene, 311 West Monroe, located between South Franklin and South Wacker Streets in The Loop. Convene is ideal for working professionals downtown. Students are a short walk from Ogilvie and Union Station and the 37 CTA bus, and a few blocks from the Quincy and Washington/Wells CTA “L” station. Students will have access to resources in Hyde Park, such as events in the Keller center or the UChicago Library, while using the Convene space for class, office hours with faculty or teaching assistants, and to meet with staff members supporting the EMP.
In addition to classroom space, students will have IT/AV support on site, complimentary refreshments, and access to open gallery space during scheduled hours.
The Harris Evening Master’s Program (EMP) is an ideal fit for mid-career professionals from all industries, including nonprofits, law, education, consulting, healthcare, and more. We provide a deep understanding of policy fundamentals and a strong foundation in analytical tools that will augment your current skill set, helping you become a more informed leader and decision-maker.
Our part-time program is designed to accommodate the demands of personal, family, and work that are unique to mid-career professionals. Cohorts are admitted every quarter: Autumn (September), Winter (January), and Spring (March). Spaces per cohort are limited; we encourage you to apply early.
