Get professional training in the growing field of data science in public policy while still in the College. The Harris School of Public Policy, in conjunction with the Department of Computer Science, offers University of Chicago undergraduate students an opportunity to begin their professional training in the growing field of data science in public policy while still in the College. Through the Joint BA/MSCAPP in Computational Analysis and Public Policy students can earn a four-year undergraduate degree in their declared major and a two-year Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy degree after five years of studies at the University of Chicago. It is one of two programs offered by Harris. The five year Master’s of Public Policy with the College (BA/MPP) is the other. The BA/MSCAPP program is open to all students in the College regardless of major. Interested students should apply during their junior year. Students are required to consult with the College advisor before applying to Harris to determine they are on track to meet the admission requirements, and are encouraged to begin this conversation in their sophomore year.
