Mauricio Koechlin Predoctoral Research Professional Contact Email Mauricio Koechlin About Mauricio Koechlin is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. He currently works at the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab (BIP Lab) under the direction of Professor Ariel Kalil, where he supports ongoing research on behavioral interventions designed to improve parenting practices and child development outcomes. Prior to joining Harris, Mauricio worked as a research and teaching assistant at Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru), supporting empirical research in education policy and gender. He also served as a research assistant at the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE), where he contributed to academic research on social policy and development economics. In addition to his academic experience, Mauricio has supported consulting projects with multilateral organizations, government agencies, and the private sector, providing research and analytical input to inform public policy design, program evaluation, and decision-making processes for key stakeholders. Mauricio received his B.A. in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru. His academic training focused on quantitative methods and applied microeconomics, with particular interest in education, inequality and social policy.
