About

I am an Assistant Instructional Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy.  My research interests are in applied microeconomics, primarily the fields of public, urban, environmental, and labor economics.  I also have work related to health and sports economics topics.

Prior to working at UChicago, I majored in Economics and English at Clemson University and worked as a research associate for Compass Lexecon in Washington, DC.  I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia, and I was previously employed as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University.  I live in Hyde Park with my wife, Susan; our son; and our dog, Boomer.
