On your first full day in San Juan, get ready for a deep dive into the complicated policy issues facing Puerto Rico.

We’ll be joined by high ranking officials representing the local and federal government–including PROMESA, PREPA, COFINA, and the Governor’s Office–for a series of panel discussions on the complicated issue of debt restructuring and the privatization of electricity as a proposed energy policy.

Select speakers include:

Natalie Jaresko, Executive Director, Financial Oversight & Management Board for Puerto Rico (PROMESA)

Christian Sobrino, President & Director, Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico

The Honorable Eduardo Bhatia, Senate Minority Leader

Following the panels, we’ll stretch our legs out for a walking tour of Old Town San Juan in hopes that you’ll work up an appetite for lunch along the famed Fortaleza Street.

We’ll end the day connecting with NGO leaders for a roundtable discussion over dinner.
