Professor Chris Berry Discusses Cook County Property Tax Changes

Harris Public Policy Professor Christopher Berry was featured in the Chicago Tribune, discussing recent fixes by Cook County Assessor Joseph Berrios to the property assessment system.

Berry called the new system a "substantial improvement." He continued, “None of the improvements to the modeling are particularly innovative or noteworthy. It’s just that the old model was so bad that any of these steps would improve it.”
