Brice has served as the Director-General of OFPRA (French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons) since December 2012. He is overseeing OFPRA at a time when asylum claims are rising in France and tensions are growing in Europe over the issue. In response to this pressure, OFPRA is expanding its presence in France, Europe, the Near East, and Africa. Under Mr. Brice’s direction, OFPRA is modernizing and scaling up its operations; over the past few years, its workforce has doubled to more than 800 officials The Q&A session following the talk will be moderated by Kara Ross Camarena, a Postdoctoral Scholar at Harris Public Policy and affiliated with The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts.
