Harris Senior Adviser for Cultural Innovation and Adviser to the Dean Theaster Gates

Harris School of Public Policy Senior Adviser for Cultural Innovation and Adviser to the Dean Theaster Gates, who is a University of Chicago professor, was featured in Hyperallergic, discussing his exhibition "Theaster Gates: Every Square Needs a Circle," which is displayed until June 29 at Richard Gray Gallery (2044 West Carroll Avenue, Chicago, IL). 

"Policy undergirds this exhibition," Gates said. This exhibition is a sculpture show which uses signage to depict the words of leaders such as W. E. B. Du Bois and forms of objects to show restraint and freedom. The gallery also includes canvas art.
