Jackson Women's Health Organization, many states have began restricting women's access to abortions and other reproductive healthcare, something that Democrats hope will sway new voters to their side in the upcoming presidential election. Organizers refer to one key group as "Dobbs dads," college educated white men who might normally trend Republican but may vote Democrat in the interest of their daughters and their access to healthcare. Professor Anthony Fowler is skeptical of Dobbs' impact specifically. He tells Newsweek: "Trump only got approximately 53% of the male vote in 2020, and looking at survey data over time, there is little evidence that gender is becoming increasingly predictive of vote choice. College education, on the other hand, is becoming increasingly predictive of voting Democratic. College-educated men (and women) were trending Democratic before Dobbs, and I suspect that trend was going to continue regardless of Dobbs."
