Join us for the first installment of Young Policy Leaders of the academic year, featuring Representative Christian L. Mitchell (IL-D), AB'08. 

Representative Mitchell will share his experiences as a young elected official, including his own introduction to politics and his decision to become a politician, as well as a few areas of focus of his work.

Young professionals around the world are leading the charge to making change and finding innovative solutions to address current and complex issues.  The Young Policy Leaders (YPL) Series at Harris Public Policy brings exceptional young leaders making waves in various policy-related fields to campus in order to discuss their work, their journeys, challenges, advice, and what's next.  Featured YPL speakers, typically under 40 years of age, are up-and-comers across government, non-profit, or private sectors with diverse achievements and experience. Members of the Harris community are invited to suggest a speaker at anytime throughout the year.
