The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts invites you to join us for The Third Annual Reverend Dr. Richard L. Pearson Lecture on April 11, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the International House.

This year, we will hear from Ambassador Dr. Husam Zomlot, Head of Palestinian Mission to the UK and Strategic Affairs Advisor to the Palestinian President.

The Reverend Dr. Richard L. Pearson lecture series provides an opportunity to hear directly from leaders in international policy who have worked in peace and conflict.

More about the Featured Lecturer:

Prior to his appointment to the UK, Dr. Husam Zomlot served as Ambassador to the United States (Head of the PLO General Delegation to the United States). His previous roles include serving as Ambassador–at-large for the Palestinian Presidency and Director of Fatah Foreign Relations Commission.

Dr. Zomlot held a public policy professorship at Birzeit University, where he co-founded and chaired the Birzeit School of Government. He has held a number of other teaching and research positions at Harvard University and University of London. His professional background includes working as an economist at the United Nations and economic researcher with London School of Economics and the Palestine Policy Research Institute.

Dr. Zomlot holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of London.
