Everyday Ethics of Care in Landscapes of Violence Thu., January 19, 2023 | 6:00 PM — 7:00 PM Keller Center 1307 E 60th Street Chicago, IL 60637 United States The Pearson Institute's January speaker series will feature Cultural Anthropologist Greta Uehling, who will speak about civilians' capacity to deliver comfort and care in spite of violent military conflict. Drawing upon her ethnographic research in Ukraine, and utilizing examples from Israel, Great Britain, and the former Yugoslavia, she will explore the only seemingly mundane practices that emerge from moral thinking about human vulnerability and relatedness in landscapes filled with destruction, death, and cruelty.
