Born of the need for change in America’s inner cities, a new paradigm of public education is emerging, to fit the realities of the 21st century. In his book, Reinventing America's Schools, David Osborne offers a bracing survey of the most dramatic improvements taking place in urban education today. About the Speaker

David Osborne
Author, Reinventing America's Schools

David Osborne is the author or co-author of six nonfiction books, including the new Reinventing America’s Schools: Creating a 21st Century School System, and the 1992 bestseller, Reinventing Government. Last February he also published his first novel, The Coming, a historical novel based on the life of explorer William Clark’s Nez Perce Son.

A long-time senior fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute, David currently directs the education project at PPI.
