About Leslie Andersen

Leslie joined the Harris Career Development Office in 2011, and she cherishes the relationships she has formed with students and alumni while assisting them with career exploration, job searches, and networking activities in pursuit of internships and full-time employment.

She began her career working for the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Welfare. She also gained valuable experience working for the American Bar Association and the Illinois CPA Society. With over 30 years of experience in Career Services, working at several colleges and universities in the United States—including Mount Holyoke College, the University of Iowa, the Illinois Institute of Technology and others—Leslie has supported students’ career planning in a variety of fields, including the arts, sciences, and engineering, culminating in her current work with public policy students and alumni at Harris.

After earning her BA from Smith College, Leslie earned a master’s in education—counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. When not engaged in helping Harris students with their career goals and job search activities, Leslie enjoys baking, gardening, and multicultural arts and literature.
