Erin Chang joins as the Student Engagement and Belonging Specialist. In this role, she will oversee student organization advising, event management, and programming that enhances students' sense of belonging, professional growth, and overall wellness.

Erin’s career in higher education spans various roles that reflect her commitment to student success and institutional advancement. At Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, she designed and led immersive workshops while managing logistical initiatives for graduate programs. Her time at Northwestern’s Board of Trustees Office involved supporting strategic decision-making by preparing and analyzing critical meeting materials. Additionally, at the Searle Center for Advanced Learning and Teaching, she conducted research on integrating equity into academic rigor, further solidifying her dedication to inclusive education.

Erin holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University, where her thesis examined the impact of social media on fostering belonging within cultural-based, student-led organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with an endorsement in English as a Second Language (ESL).
