Take a class at Harris, on us!

Explore the course offerings that you can request to audit as a way to continue to expand your knowledge and take courses that may not have been available while you were a student at Harris.

We are happy to offer our alumni the opportunity to come back and experience what it's like to be a student again.

Audit Courses at Harris

Submit the Harris Alumni Course Audit Form to request to audit a course.

Deadline: Monday, February 17

You can request to audit courses for the spring 2020 quarter (March 30 – June 12) at this time. Please only request to audit a course if you can commit to the full 10-week course.

If you would like to audit more than one course, please submit a new form for each course.

Audited courses will not appear on official transcripts.

Course Descriptions

Syllabi and course descriptions can be found on the Harris courses page. You can filter the page by quarter.

The syllabus is at the bottom of the course’s page under the course description. To view the syllabus in courses with multiple sections click on the name of the quarter “e.g. spring 2020” on the course page.

Program Details

Admissions

Requesting to audit a course does not guarantee your spot. Admission will be based on seat availability and instructor consent.

We will follow up with you by Tuesday, February 25th to confirm which course(s) you were admitted to.

Requirements

Statement of interest: You must provide a brief statement of interest for each course you request to audit.

Commitment fee: Once admitted, you will be asked to pay a $25 commitment fee, made payable to the Harris School of Public Policy.

Attendance: While alumni auditors are not required to attend every class section we do expect that you aim to participate as much as you are able.

Special requirements: Some courses may have special requirements for auditors. For example, some courses will not allow auditors to submit assignments for grading or participate in group projects. If you are placed in a course with any of these specifications, they will be communicated to you upon admission.

Questions?

Please email Harris Alumni Relations ([email protected]) with any questions.

We are excited to offer this valuable resource to our alumni and look forward to seeing some of you in the classroom in March 2020!
