Harris Public Policy Professor Jeffrey Grogger was featured in Dow Jones Market Watch for his research on  showing how distinctive regional accents earn about 20 percent less yearly than workers with a standard accent.

“Workers with noticeable accents tended not to work in more lucrative jobs requiring more face-to-face contact with colleagues and clients, the study found. It was difficult to pinpoint exactly why that what happening,” said Grogger.
